Schottenheimer to stay

Despite threats from his camp on, Brian Schottenheimer is staying on as Jets offensive coordinator. The announcement was made by SNY's Steve Overmyer.

Schottenheimer's camp told Adam Schefter of and the NFL Network that the coach wouldn't stay if B-Schotty finished second to Rex Ryan for the Jets head coaching position.

But that might have been a negotiating ploy by Schottenheimer's agent to get a new contract for his client.

Let's be honest, nobody in the football world expected the Jets to pick B-Schotty over Ryan, so clearly Jimmy Sexton was clearly using the threat to get more money and stability for his client.
