The draft's top wide receiver prospect, Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree, has a stress fracture in his foot that might not allow him to run prior to the draft. Might he slip to 17?
Crabtree has a stress fracture in his left foot. This was revealed during medical testing at the combine. He will have a screw surgically inserted in his foot to help the healing process.
This could be a 10 week injury, so he might not be able to run the 40 prior to April's draft. And a lot of scouts want to see him run the 40 because their are questions about his speed.
This is possible.
And we all know how much the Jets need a big, play-maker at wide receiver.
