Q)Any regrets going back to school for your senior year considering it turned out to be an injury-plagued season?
Pettigrew: Once you make a decision, you gotta stick with it. you can't look back in regret. The ankle happened. Nothing I could do about it.
Q)How much better did you get with the extra year?
Pettigrew: I gained more experience. Got to play against more different guys. Got to work on more technique. And got a little bit stronger.
Q)You are considered the best blocking tight end in the draft . . .
Pettigrew: I think I blocked well at the college level. But I know that I'm going to have to pick it up to play in this league. Guys are bigger, faster, stronger than they were in college.
Q)Does your blocking ability set you apart from most of the college TEs, who essentially are just bulked up wideouts
Pettigrew: I think that does set me apart. I try to be the most complete tight end that I can. I try to be able to do both.
Q)What about the questions regarding your speed?
Pettigrew: I'm a lot faster than what people think I am.
Q)You had no touchdowns as a senior . . .
Pettigrew: It didn't work out for me. But I'm a team guy. it didn't bother me much. I'm about getting the wins.
Q)Where do you expect to go in the draft?
Pettigrew: I hope that I go first round. But I'll be blessed wherever I go.
