"The second-year quarterback, who missed a big chunk of the off-season program because of a mysterious "personal" reason (Rex Ryan's word), returned a couple of days ago, according to the Jets.
"Do you think his return is tied to the fact that the Jets drafted a QB in the first round (some guy named Sanchez) and signed a rookie free agent (Harvard's Chris Pizzotti)? I'm just throwing that out there."
We can only hope Ainge didn't return because the Jets added two quarterbacks. Since Ainge was dealing with a personal issue, it probably wouldn't be healthy to cut short his time dealing with it because competition was added.
It sounds like Ainge was handling a serious personal crisis. From a humane standpoint, let's hope that he has overcome what was troubling him. That is more important than a QB competition that honestly really isn't one.
And JC did notice Ainge was missing. We think he's a pretty good QB prospect.
