Leon wants fair market value

Leon Washington and the Jets aren't close on a contract.

"We had some disagreements on the contract parameters," said Washington.

Then why did he end his boycott of the off-season workouts?

"I probably shouldn't say this - I was missing it, missing it a lot," said Washington about being away from his teammates.

So how much money is Washington looking for?

"I want fair market value," said Washington.

That reportedly is $6 million per season.

If things don't progress on the contract front, will Washington hold out of training camp?

"No decision has been made on training camp - I will wait until that time comes around," said Washington.

One perceived issue with this problematic negotiation is the relative inexperience of Washington's agent Alvin Keels.
