Jets bring in competition for Feely

The New York Jets have signed free agent K Parker Douglass and waived WR Huey Whittaker.

The New York Jets have signed free agent K Parker Douglass and waived WR Huey Whittaker. The announcements were made by Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Douglass (K/5-8/175/South Dakota State/Columbus, NE) originally signed as a free agent May 15, 2009 with Cleveland and was waived July 31. Prior to signing with the Browns, he played with the Sioux Falls Storm of the Indoor Football League (IFL), converting 15-of-27 field goals and 31-of-36 PAT. At South Dakota State, he broke or tied 19 kicking records.
