Jets claim P Pakulak off waivers
Pakulak (P/6-3/220/Kentucky/Pontiac, MI) signed with the New Orleans Saints on October 29, 2008 and averaged 47.7 yards per punt in the last eight games of the season before being waived on August 17, 2009. He was a member of Oakland's practice squad in 2008 and spent the 2008 off-season with the Chicago Bears. In 2006-07, he played for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe (NFLE). He was allocated to NFLE by Oakland in 2006 and Tennessee in 2007. Pakulak did not play in the NFL in 2005 and originally entered the NFL with Seattle as an undrafted free agent in May 2003. He also has had brief stints with Atlanta (2004) and Pittsburgh (2003).
