Jets sign Brodney Pool

The Jets signed former Cleveland Browns and Oklahoma Sooner safety Brodney Pool on Thursday night. He will compete with James Ihedigbo and Eric Smith for the starting safety spot next to Jim Leonhard. Pool was a second round draft pick of the Browns in 2005. Pool signed a one-year, $1.3 million deal. The announcement was made by Adam Schefter, who makes most Jets announcements.
