In San Diego, the Chargers have concerns over the hold outs of Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeill due to contract disputes, the Associated Press reports. Both players might sit out training camp…In other San Diego news, Vincent Jackson of the Chargers is reportedly working out in Arizona with Redskins QB Donovan McNabb fueling rumors of trade; according to USA Today. Jackson was suspended last week for the first three games of the regular season for violating the league's substance abuse policy…Free agent LenDale White was also suspended for violating the substance abuse policy, his "no-no" earning him a four-game suspension.

There are rumors Houston Texan's tailback Steve Slaton has been cleared for training camp after his neck surgery following a tweet he posted, MSNBC.com reports.

With Willie Colon presumed out for the 2010 season due to a torn Achilles tendon, Pittsburgh brought in Flozell Adams who took a physical and worked out for the Steelers and was thought to be favored as Colon's replacement but left without a deal, according to CBSSports.com…FoxSports.com has ranked New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady 3rd overall quarterback in the NFL. Peyton Manning was ranked first and the New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees took second. Yahoo! Sports says that the Minnesota Vikings, the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Giants have the top defensive lines in the league.

After an unimpressive 2009 season, Jacksonville head coach Jack Del Rio has declared this a "win or go home" season for the Jaguars…Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young said he plans to spend the anniversary of friend and former teammate Steve McNair's death at McNair's mother's house in Mississippi… Several media outlets, including the Baltimore Sun, are indicating that Philadelphia is considering cutting Michael Vick after another run-in with the law. The Eagles are denying any move to rid themselves of the player. Vick said he did not shoot anyone…From the "Who Really Cares File" - Raiders' quarterback Kyle Boller married former Miss California Carrie Prejean this weekend.

In league news, there is hope that the long-rumored lockout next season might be avoided. Bargaining between the NFLPA and the league seem to have taken a more optimistic note from NFLPA executive director Maurice Smith told USA Today…The NFL announced a new partnership with kids-themed television station Nickelodeon. The partnership will launch a football-themed cartoon to help educate young people on the sport.
