Detroit Lions' defensive end Jared DeVries is currently undergoing tests for a possible blood clot in his left arm.
DeVries, who would likely backup All Pro defensive end Robert Porcher, recognized a pain in the arm almost two weeks ago, and reported it to team trainers.
"There's way too much about it that I don't know yet," team president Matt Millen told the Detroit News.
DeVries was originally drafted in 1999, and recorded 35 tackles in his most productive campaign last season. The former Iowa standout is no stranger to injuries, after suffering a handful during his collegiate career, prior to injuring his ankle during his rookie season.
