LionsFans.com has learned that former GVSU standout, and sixth-round draft choice David Kircus has signed with the ball club.

Representatives of Kircus, the 175th overall pick last April, confirmed the signing Thursday afternoon to LionsFans.com. Terms of the deal were not immediately available, although sources have told LionsFans.com it is a three-year deal.

A playmaker at the wide receiver position, the 6'1, 185 pound Kircus brings speed and athleticism to the Lions' receiving core. His draft stock dropped, however, due to playing within the division II level.

Kircus was an All-American with Grand Valley State University, teaming up with current Lions' QB Curt Anes to lead the Lakers to the Division II NCAA National Championship in 2002.

Kircus tallied 77 catches for 1,341 yards and 35 touchdowns during his senior season.
