For the first and only time during training camp, the Detroit Lions are opening their doors to the fans.
On Sunday, August 3, the Lions will hold practice sessions in Ford Field, and will be practicing in their new on-field attire.
"We're going to show off our new unis, the white and the blues and we will show everybody," said Lions' head coach Steve Mariucci, who also mentioned that the practice sessions would not include a scrimmage.
"We'll have some fun," Mariucci said. "It will be just a practice, a good practice, but a chance for the fans to come out and see us and see if we can substitute without any problems on the sideline and those things."
The doors will open at 12:00 PM (EST) to the public, and an interactive autograph session between players and fans will take place prior to practice, which will begin at 2:30.
Fans will also be able to take photographs of practice, and have the ability to win prizes.
Free tickets can be located at local ABC Warehouse stores, Big Boy restaurants, Meijer stores and the metro-Detroit area Ford Dealers.
