Favre and Co. will score points, but the feeling is Detroit will play enough defense and cause enough turnovers to throttle the Green Bay offense. The losing streak is over.

Prediction: Detroit 30 - Green Bay 27

Move over, Mr. Favre, there's a new gun in the Black & Blue division. Although Favre is still a deadly quarterback, Detroit has a more potent defense and a more potent offense. The combination will overwhelm a Packer squad that fell flat in a Lambeau Field season opener. Lions must prove last week was not a fluke -- and they will.

Prediction: Detroit 27  -  Green Bay 24

Two different emotions are coming into this game. Green Bay is coming off an embarrassment to Minnesota, and should be motivated to net a division victory. The Lions are coming off a solid victory against Arizona, and should be motivated to not only get their first road victory in over 2 years, but to stay atop the NFC North. On paper, everything points toward a Packer
victory. The Lions haven't won at Lambeau in ages, and Green Bay is better than Detroit in practically every phase of the game. The Packers thrashed the Lions last year at Lambeau 40-14, I see more of the same.

Prediction: Green Bay- 31  Detroit- 17

Games against division rivals are more imporant for several reasons.  This year, the Lions are looking to gauge their progress and establish a building block to become the dominant force in the NFC North.  It all starts Sunday at Lambeau Field.  Call this game a "passing of the torch," if you will.  Favre and the Pack won't be up to that idea right now, but Joey and the Lions won't be up to waiting for much longer.

Prediction: Green Bay in a close one.

Green Bay comes off of an awful offensive performace last week, and is looking to bounce back and prove they are still a threat to take the division. Favre won't throw 4 picks again but he has always struggled in domes. Detroit came close to beating them last year but the victory fell off of the fingers of Mikhael Ricks. This is going to be a good game, and it will come down to who makes more mistakes. Interceptions and good field position must be capitalized upon by Detroit. If they can make the best of their chances, they have a real chance. Whether it will happen or not remains to be seen.

Prediction: Green Bay: 21   Detroit: 17
