PONTIAC- Ty Detmer played worse and got another shot unlike Charlie Batch, who was benched after he only threw two interceptions against Green Bay.

But Marty Mornhinweg is sticking with Detmer for the Lions next game after their bye week this weekend, and will again be in the starting lineup when the Lions finally garner their home opener against the St. Louis Rams on Monday Night Football, October 8.

Most of the Lions player where stunned to hear that Batch had lost his job in the first place 2 weeks ago, but today is another big surprise that Detmer is going to lead them again. The players knew that Batch would have never been left in there if he would have even thrown 4 interceptions in a game, which he has never done.

But for Detmer to get a chance to start the very next game after tossing seven picks, meanwhile looking uncomfortable and untalented throughout the contest, players both on offense and defense can't believe it. Lions' players are saying they will stick behind what Mornhinweg says.

What else can they do?
