(DETROIT) -- Steve Mariucci is thankful that he has Jason Hanson, and the first-year head coach certainly didn't avoid that fact during his post-game press conference.
Hanson who drilled four field goals -- scoring all 12 points -- during Detroit's 12-10 win on Sunday, is 13-of-13 for the regular season. Late in the 4th quarter on Sunday, his 48-yard field goal clinched the win.
"We had chances to score and couldn't do it, and had to settle for Jason Hanson field goals," said Mariucci after the game. "Man, how big is that guy?"

Mariucci's offense had to settle for field goals of 24, 25, 30, and 48.
Hanson is as sharp as he's ever been in his 12-year career. Already in the season, the former Washington State standout has kicked field goals of 52, 53 and -- his season-long -- a 54-yard field goal.
Before Sunday's game, Hanson ranked 3rd in the NFC in field goal percentage, and 4th in the league.
"How long have I been here, 8, 9 months?" asked Mariucci. "I think I've only seen him miss 4 or 5 times -- and I mean in practice, too. That is out of hundreds of kicks."
"I hope he's here another 13 years."
