Adding insult to their disappointing loss, the Detroit Lions (0-5) left the Pontiac Silverdome on Sunday the only winless NFL squad remaining.

The Washington Redskins (1-5), considered among many NFL analysts the "worst of the bunch," tallied their first win with an overtime victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Earlier in the week, the Buffalo Bills (1-4) clinched their first victory after toppling the Jacksonville Jaguars at home.

The last time the Lions started off a season 0-5 was in 1989 under the guidance of former head coach Wayne Fontes. Detroit finished the season winning 7 of their remaining 11 contests, and a third place division finish.

Next week, Detroit hosts the Cincinnati Bengals (3-3), who are coming off a loss to the 4-1 Chicago Bears. Chicago, surprisingly, shares the NFC Central lead with Green Bay after winning their fourth consecutive contest. Detroit, meanwhile, resides in the division cellar ... still winless.
