Lions re-sign James Hall, Robert Porcher

The Detroit Lions have re-signed defensive ends James Hall and Robert Porcher to new contracts with contract terms undisclosed.

(ALLEN PARK) - The Detroit Lions have re-signed defensive end James Hall and agreed to terms on a deal with veteran Robert Porcher on a new contracts with terms undisclosed.

Hall's contract is believed to be a five year deal while Porcher's deal is believed to be a one year agreement.

Porcher, who is currently in NFL Europe on a internship to learn more about the interworking of a professional football franchise with former Rams defensive end D'Marco Farr and former Patriots tight end Ben Coates, is expected to fill a situational role as a part time player.

Hall will start on the right side of the defense where Porcher started for several years, and Kalimba Edwards is expected to take over Hall's old left end spot.

Detroit also signed cornerback Damon Sydney to a one-year agreement.
