In their second wave of cuts on Tuesday, the Detroit Lions released linebacker Stevie Baggs, defensive tackle Ahmad Childress and wide receiver Tim Van Zant.
Earlier in the day, former Michigan Wolverine safety Julius Curry, third-year guard Josh Lovelady, and former Florida State standout Abdual Howard, also a safety, were released.
The Lions were able to meet the 65-man roster limit mandated by the National Football League.
