FIRST QUARTER: RB Thomas Jones two-yard touchdown run at 7:38. The Bears passing game clicked on the second drive of the game. Rex Grossman hit David Terrell in stride as the receiver cut across the field and continued up field for a 31-yard reception. On the next play Grossman went back to Terrell this time for 27 yards, 10 of which came after the catch. With first and goal from the two-yard line, Jones took care of the rest as he slipped into the end zone after breaking a tackle and cut back into the end zone. PAT good by Paul Edinger. Drive: 6 plays, 58 yards in 3:25. Bears 7, Lions 0.
SECOND QUARTER: K Jason Hanson 27-yard field goal at 0:20. Joey Harrington struggled for much of the first half, but completed 4-6 for 55 yards on the possession. Roy Williams was Harrington's favorite target catching two balls for 36 yards. Drive: 10 plays, 71 yards in 4:09. Bears 7, Lions 3.
THIRD QUARTER: S Bracy Walker 92-yard return of blocked field goal at 12:17. A great special teams play gave the Bears the ball inside the Lions' 20-yard line. Detroit countered with a blocked field goal, which Walker picked up and broke the initial tackle attempt of Brad Maynard and when the rest of the way for the touchdown. Drive: 1 play, 92 yards. Lions 10, Bears 7.
THIRD QUARTER: K Jason Hanson 21-yard field at 7:37. After starting in Chicago territory a dump off pass to Kevin Jones turned into a 34-yard completion. The defense kept the Lions out of the end zone but the Bears third turnover of the game allowed the Lions to extend their lead. Drive: 6 plays, 27 yards in 2:27. Lions 13, Bears 7.
FOURTH QUARTER: RB Thomas Jones two-yard touchdown run at 12:40. David Terrell had already gone over 100 yards receiving on the day, but got a carry on a reverse. The 20-yard gain was basically nullified because of a personal foul penalty on Olin Kreutz. Rex Grossman hit Jason McKie on third and one for a ten-yard completion. A personal foul on LB James Davis for hitting Grossman in the head tacked on another 13 yards. Jones gave the Bears a first and goal from the 2-yard line with a 10-yard catch. He capped the drive two plays later for his second score of the game. PAT by Edinger was good. Drive: 11 plays, 64 yards in 5:28. Bears 14, Lions 13.
FOURTH QUARTER: WR Roy Williams four-yard touchdown reception from QB Joey Harrington at 9:54. A 41-yard kick return by Eddie Drummond gave the Lions the ball just past midfield. Harrington completed his final three passes for gains of 11, 29 and 4 yards. PAT by Hanson is good. Drive 5 plays, 49 yards in 2:46. Lions 20, Bears 14.
