Besides league wide changes in schedule and divisional structuring being released, the Detroit Lions organization and its fans have an additional reason to be happy with the 2002 season: The anxiously awaited disrobing of Ford Field.

And its first nemesis.

The Lions highly acclaimed, and state-of-the-art stadium will seat 65,000, and will host its first regular contest against the NFC North division rival Green Bay Packers. Kickoff is slated for 4:15 PM.

Detroit's traditional Thanksgiving Day game will face the Lions against the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.
