The Lions went for back to back Gamecocks to help their defense after draft DE Kalimba Edwards they draft CB Andrea Goodman in the third round (68 overall). Goodman has great speed and good cover ability and does a good job at diagnosing plays. He rarely gets beat on the play because of being out of position, shows fluid hip turn and quick feet coming out of his backpedal. He is aware covering in the zone, handling the switch-off effortlessly. Short strider with the burst to recover on deep routes and does a nice job coming up to support vs. the run. Credited with 86 tackles, four interceptions and 20 pass deflections during his career with the Gamecocks.

Andre Goodman, South Carolina, Senior 5-10 183 4.36 Goodman has decent size and excellent speed, who is aggressive. He has good hip movement and can turn and run with wide receivers. He has good coverage skills with good body control and quickness to go with his speed. He does best in press coverage. He isn't a great playmaker, he lack confidence when he is playing off his man. He is not a great tackler.
