If Tom Marino had been drafting for the Detroit Lions, the team's second-round draft choice would have been similar -- but only in position.

A league scout of 35 years and Scout.com NFL analyst, Marino didn't disregard the Lions pick of Drew Stanton, but didn't agree with it either. Marino had another quarterback -- one that was still available -- ranked much higher than the Michigan State product.

Marino was interviewed on WTKG's SportsExtra (1230), a Grand Rapids-based sports radio station. Hosts Bennie Covington and Jeff Daum, along with RoarReport.com publisher Nate Caminata, conducted the interview.
