Finally, some good news.
Wide receiver Calvin Johnson and running back Kevin Smith each practiced with the team on Friday, and although the ball club listed their regimen as limited, head coach Jim Schwartz was "optimistic" that each will play against the Seahawks.
Schwartz noted that it would mark the first time since the team's week five win against Washington that the Lions have enjoyed the healthy contributions of QB Matthew Stafford, Smith, and Johnson.
"So it's been awhile since they've all been —they've been on the field but somebody's been limited or one of them has been missing, so that'll mean a lot. They're all a big part of our offense, all a big part of our team, and we need to get them back on the field," said Schwartz.
Detroit also limited the participation of DE Dewayne White (hamstring), DT Grady Jackson (knee), FB Jerome Felton (ankle) and DE Jason Hunter (ankle), but each is expected to be active for the contest.
