In an update to an earlier report, internet web site ProFootballTalk.com, an outlet that provides a popular 'Rumor Mill', is reporting that Chicago Bears' linebacker Rosevelt Colvin will sign with the Detriot Lions on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, per a source, the web site said that a deal had been reached in principle.

Two days ago, Lions' insider Mike Fowler from reported that several Chicago area outlets were reporting a signing of Colvin was imminent.

Colvin evidently left Arizona without a contract offer.

Over the weekend, the Lions signed former St. Louis Rams' cornerback Dre' Bly, who was considered the best available defensive back on the market. Colvin, likewise, is considered the best available linebacker.
