Desmond Bishop Profile
Desmond Bishop was in the locker room following the Green Bay Packers' loss to San Francisco on Sunday.
Speaking about his season-ending injury, Bishop said the tendon that connects the knee to the hamstring was "tore off."
Bishop said the prognosis is a full recovery between three and six months. On the short side of that timeline, he would have been a candidate for the NFL's new injured reserve rule, which would have made him eligible to return at midseason while not costing the team a roster spot.
"It was a possibility, but it was kind of risky, so we just decided not to risk it," Bishop said.
Speaking about the injury and not the Packers' decision, he added: "It's really disappointing from an individual standpoint. It sucks. Y'all know my story. But there's nothing I can do about it. It is what it is. All I can do is try to take the positive out of it."
