With the Green Bay Packers a bit shorthanded at safety, they signed undrafted rookie free agent David Fulton on Tuesday, the team announced.
Fulton played for Chowan University, a Division II school located in Murfreesboro, N.C. As a senior, Fulton (6-0, 196) recorded 39 tackles (29 solo), including five for losses, along with a team-high four interceptions, nine passes defensed, one sack and one forced fumble. In 34 career games, he tallied 101 tackles, including nine for losses and two sacks, plus six interceptions and 16 passes defensed.
The Packers are without second-year player Sean Richardson (neck surgery), and undrafted free agent Ben Ericksen failed his physical. Richardson said on Tuesday that he hopes to be ready for training camp.
