Green Bay Packers cornerback Tramon Williams said he was fined $26,250 for his incident with an official in Thursday's loss at Detroit.
"There's a lot of emotion going on at that point in time," Williams said on Thursday. "Really, you're not paying attention to what you're doing, not even paying attention to who it was at that point in time. And I just saw a guy walk out in front of me, maybe trying to, contact, you know make contact with me, and just kind of knock his arm out my way because he put it out at me. So, I mean, didn't mean any harm by it at all. Wouldn't do that if I knew who it was."
Williams said he is appealing.
"Hopefully they give me money back," he continued with a laugh.
The incident happened after Joique Bell's touchdown run made it 33-10 with about 13 minutes to play. Williams said Lions center Dominic Raiola gave him a shove after the touchdown. At that point, back judge Dino Paganelli walked between Raiola and Williams and put his left arm on Williams in an attempt to obstruct Williams' path to Raiola.
"It was a reaction more than anything," Williams said.
