NFL Draft

This was recheck weekend in Indianapolis, where about 40 players who were invited to the combine returned to have a recheck physical. <P>

For example, if a player had a broken hand when the original physical took place in February, the doctors were checking to see how it's mending and if it is mending correctly.

At the recheck, which wraps up today, all eyes were on Miami's Willis McGahee. The running back was one of the players rechecked, and the doctors say his injured knee is sound.

The news was all good: McGahee should will be able to go to camp and work out fully in July, and there's no reason why he should miss the 2003 season, doctors said.

McGahee will perform a full workon on his campus April 22.
