Tailgate Tour Departs in May

This year's trip will include stops in Marquette, Mich., Ashland, Eau Claire, Wausau and back in Green Bay, with all proceeds going to nonprofit organizations.

The Green Bay Packers announced the dates and destinations for their sixth annual Tailgate Tour on Thursday.

The tour will make stops in Marquette, Mich., on May 10, Ashland on May 11, Eau Claire on May 12, Wausau on May 13 and Green Bay on May 14, with evening tailgate parties held in each city to support a local nonprofit organization.

Tour celebrities were not announced but will include Packers players, personnel, and for the first time, special alumni.

The tour will take place aboard a customized motor coach emblazoned with the logo "Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour" and the phrase "Touching Down in Your Community." In addition to the designated locations, tour celebrities will make surprise stops as the schedule allows.

The evening tailgate parties will begin with the players and alumni arriving at each location at 6 p.m. and will run until 8:30 p.m. A local nonprofit organization will host each party, which will feature food, giveaways, question-and-answer sessions, autographs and food. Tailgate party tickets will cost $30.

General admission tickets also will be available for $5, which includes access to the Q-and-A sessions as well as tailgate party activities. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

All proceeds will benefit the hosting organizations.

"We're looking forward to this year's Tailgate Tour," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy in a news release. "The tour has become an offseason highlight for the organization and a great way to see many of our fans in their communities. Through the tour we'll be able to show our appreciation for the fans' support of the team, and lend a fundraising hand to a worthy local organization."
