Trophies Join Tailgate Tour

All four of the Packers' Lombardi Trophies will make the trek to Michigan's Upper Peninsula and through Wisconsin next week, joining Desmond Bishop, Matt Flynn, Josh Sitton, Mark Murphy and some Super Bowl heroes.

Fans attending the Green Bay Packers' Tailgate Tour stops won't be seeing quadruple.

The annual tour, this year making stops in Marquette, Mich., Ashland, Eau Claire, Wausau and Green Bay, will feature all four of the team's Super Bowl trophies. Fans attending the evening Tailgate Tour parties will be able to get up close and take photos with the ultimate symbol of NFL success.

Fresh off its return from Tiffany & Co. in New York City, where it was engraved with the final score of Super Bowl XLV, the newest Lombardi Trophy will join the tour alongside the trophies from Super Bowl I, II and XXXI.

Three members of the Super Bowl champions — linebacker Desmond Bishop, quarterback Matt Flynn and guard Josh Sitton — will be making the trip, as will Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. Super Bowl XXXI heroes Dorsey Levens, Gilbert Brown and Antonio Freeman and Glory Years icons Jim Taylor and Forrest Gregg will be touring, as well. Taylor will be signing copies of his book, "The Fire Within," and Gregg will be signing copies of his book, "Winning in the Trenches."

Both $30 Tailgate Tour tickets and $5 general admission tickets remain available for Green Bay and Wausau. Only $5 general admission tickets remain available for Eau Claire and Marquette, Mich. The Ashland event is sold out.

The evening tailgate parties will begin with the players and alumni arriving at each location at 6 p.m. and will run until 8:30 p.m. A local nonprofit organization will host each party which will feature food, giveaways, question-and-answer sessions, autographs and food. Tailgate party tickets will cost $30.

General admission tickets include access to the Q-and-A sessions as well as tailgate party activities. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

All proceeds will benefit the hosting organizations.
