NFL Europe Week 5 update

Quarterback Craig Nall followed one of his better performances in NFL Europe with his worst in a loss to F.C. Barcelona on Sunday. The Dragons won their fourth straight game by taking a 17-0 lead through three quarters, then hung on for a 17-10 win over the Scottish Claymores Sunday in Glasgow, Scotland.<p>

Nall, allocated to Scotland by the Green Bay Packers, completed 24 of 46 passes for 256 yards and one touchdown, but threw two interceptions and finished with a passer rating of 57.9. Scotland running back Ken Simonton (Buffalo) rushed for 108 yards on 20 carries and also added eight receptions for 97 yards for the Claymores (2-3).

A week earlier on April 27, Nall passed for 238 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Claymores to a 34-17 win over the Berlin Thunder.

Nall led the Claymores on a three-play, 63-yard drive and threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to close Scotland to 17-7 with 7:53 remaining in the game. The Claymores drove 58 yards that led to a field goal with 2:45 left, but Nall was intercepted on the Claymores' final drive as the Dragons sealed the win.

Dragons quarterback Seth Burford (San Diego) passed for 114 yards and one touchdown, adding 63 yards rushing in the victory before a crowd of 8,783. Barcelona improved to 4-1.

Green Bay safety Bobby Jackson was second on Scotland with six tackles while linebacker Isaac Keys, also allocated by the Packers, finished with four tackles.
