NFL Europe update

Quarterback Craig Nall completed 14 of 16 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns in Scotland's 45-7 victory over the Barcelona Dragons on Saturday in NFL Europe. The victory kept the Claymores in contention for a World Bowl berth.<p>

Nall, allocated to the Claymores by the Packers, finished the game with a flawless quarterback rating of 158.3. Both of his touchdown passes came in the first quarter – an 8-yarder to Maurice Hicks (Chicago Bears) and a 24-yarder to John Minardi (Houston Texans). Nall has led the Claymores (5-4) to touchdowns on six opening drives this season.

Nall only played in the first quarter and one possession of the second half. He was backed up by Shane Stafford (New England Patriots).

The Claymores must defeat the Amsterdam Admirals (4-5) next weekend, and benefit from a Frankfurt Galaxy (6-3) win over the Berlin Thunder (2-7) or a Barcelona win over the Rhein Fire (5-4) to play in the World Bowl. Frankfurt (6-3) has qualified for its record fifth World Bowl by virtue of a 38-7 victory over the Rhein Fire last weekend.

Packers defensive back Jeremy Unertl, playing for Frankfurt, made his third interception of the season to go along with another pass defensed while starting at cornerback for the second straight game. He also had four tackles. Tim Morgan had punts of 47 and 37 yards for the Galaxy.
