OTAs, Minicamp, Training Camp Set

The fans' first chance to watch the 2012 team will be during organized team activities on Tuesday, May 22. Meanwhile, the shareholders meeting will be held on July 24, with the first practice of training camp set for July 26.

The Green Bay Packers will open their three-day rookie camp on May 11, organized team activities begin the week of May 21, the three-day mandatory minicamp will start on June 12 and training camp kicks off on July 24, the team announced on Tuesday.

The rookie orientation camp will be held in the Don Hutson Center and will not be open to the public.

One practice each week during OTAs will be held on Ray Nitschke Field and open to fans, weather permitting. Those dates are Tuesday, May 22, Wednesday, May 30, and Tuesday, June 5. All practices begin at 11:30 a.m.

Minicamp will be held Tuesday, June 12, through Thursday, June 14. All practices will be open to the public and held on Ray Nitschke Field, though the starting times have not been announced.

Before training camp starts, the Packers Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will be held on Saturday, July 21. The annual shareholders meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24. Players report for training camp on Wednesday, July 25, with practice starting the next day.

"We're looking forward to welcoming many of our new shareholders to Lambeau Field for their first Annual Meeting this summer," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "The expansion of the stadium will provide a dramatic backdrop for the meeting. I'm excited for the shareholders to see the progress of the work and the importance of their contributions."

To accommodate the projected increase in attendance at the organization's annual business meeting, tickets will be issued only to shareholders of record this year, with no opportunity for shareholders to bring guests. In recent years up to four guests could attend with a shareholder, but with 250,000 new shareholders, it is anticipated that attendance by shareholders alone may approach capacity of the stadium which is approximately 50,000 for a meeting. For that reason, the team will be asking shareholders to only request a ticket if they are making definite plans to come.
