Fourth of July -- flag waving, fireworks and a few more weeks until training camp!
Everyone at PackerReport.com wishes Packer fans and their families a happy and safe holiday weekend. Here are a few "Fourth Facts" to add to the festivities.

Did you know that four players wore the No. 4 before Brett Favre? Here they are:

Verne Lewellen (B), 1925-26*

Herm Schneidman (B), 1935-37*

Chuck Fusina (QB), 1986

Dale Dawson (K), 1988

*The asterisk denotes players who wore more than one number as a Packer. We assume Favre will be the fifth and final player to wear grand old No. 4.

Did you know that the Packers have drafted 4 players from U.S. service academies? They are:

Bob Kuberski, DT, Navy 7th round, 1993; Mike Wahle, T, Navy, supplemental draft 1998; Ronnie McAda, QB, Army, third 7th round pick in 1997 (free agency compensatory pick and "Mr. Insignificant.") and, finally, Arnold Galiffa, QB, Army, 18th pick of the 1950 draft.

Miscellaneous: President Gerald R. Ford formally dedicated teh Packer Hall of Fame on April 3, 1976 .... Lambeau Field has been visited by several presidents, most recently Bill Clinton.
