Training Camp Countdown

With the countdown at just one week, PackerReport.com begins a series on everything fans need to know about Packers Training Camp 2003, from players to schedules to special events.<p> The series begins today with a training camp calendar. Next: Training camp "tour."<P>

Training camp dates:

July 18: Rookies and first-year players report to camp.

July 18-24: The Packers Experience open at Brown County Veterans Memorial Complex.

July 19: Rookies and first-year players make practice debut.

July 20: Veterans report

July 22: Two-a-day full-team practices begin. All morning sessions begin at 8:45. Afternoon practices are at 2:15 or 2:45.

July 28: No day-time practices; evening practice held inside Lambeau Field, closed to the public.

July 29: Afternoon practice only

July 30: Two-a-days resume

Aug. 3: Practices held inside Lambeau, closed to the public.

Aug. 4: Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio: Packers vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 7 p.m. (ABC Monday Night Football).

Aug. 5: Players off, no practice

Aug. 6-7: Two-a-days resume.

Aug. 8: Practice inside Lambeau, closed to the public

Aug. 9: Packers at Atlanta Falcons, 7 p.m.

Aug. 10: Players off, no practice

Aug. 11-13: Two-a-days resume

Aug. 14: Practice inside Lambeau, closed to the public

Aug. 15: Packers at Cleveland Browns, 7 p.m.

Aug. 16: Players off, no practice.

Aug. 17-21: Two-a-days resume (no a.m. practice on Aug. 19)

Aug. 22: Practice inside Lambeau, closed to the public.

Aug. 23: CAROLINA PANTHERS vs. GREEN BAY AT LAMBEAU FIELD, 7 p.m.

Aug. 24: players off, no practice.

Aug. 25: Two-a-days

Aug. 26 a.m. practice only.

Practices closed to public for the rest of the season.

Aug. 28: TENNESSEE TITANS vs. GREEN BAY at LAMBEAU FIELD, 7 p.m.
