LT Bryan Bulaga (6-5, 314; fourth season): Bulaga has been energized by the move back to left tackle, where he starred at Iowa. He missed the second half of last season with an injured hip but says he's 100 percent healthy. Of his four sacks and 20 hurries allowed last season, two sacks and eight hurries came in his nightmarish game at Seattle.
LG Josh Sitton (6-3, 318; sixth season): The Pro Bowl right guard followed Bulaga to the left side. Since moving into the starting lineup in 2009, he's consistently been recognized as one of the top guards in the NFL. He ranked sixth in pass-blocking efficiency among guards last season.
C Evan Dietrich-Smith (6-2, 308; fourth season): He wasn't perfect, but Dietrich-Smith played so well at center in his four starts that the Packers didn't touch a deep draft class. He allowed just one pressure in 89 pass-protecting snaps. The run game was only marginally better.
RG T.J. Lang (6-4, 318; fifth season): After emerging as one of the better young guards in the game, Lang had a tough 2012 as he battled a bad elbow and a move from left guard to right tackle for three games. Of his nine sacks and 26 total pressures allowed, three sacks and 10 pressures came when at tackle.
RT Marshall Newhouse (6-4, 319; fourth season): Newhouse made strides in 2012 but might be on thin ice this summer. Ranked 57th out of 58 tackles in pass protection in 2011 (eight sacks and 54 total pressures in 13 starts), Newhouse moved to 32nd out of 52 tackles in 2012 (eight sacks and 46 total pressures in 16 starts).
T/G Don Barclay (6-4, 305; second season): Barclay spent the offseason at right tackle, right guard and center but should push for the job at right tackle. With Barclay in the lineup for six starts and most of a seventh game, the Packers averaged 110 rushing yards compared to 100 yards in the other 11 games. With Barclay, the Packers averaged 4.11 yards per carry; without him, they averaged 3.97.
T/G Andrew Datko (6-6, 315; first season): Datko spent 2012 on the practice squad, giving his injured shoulder time to heal and get stronger. A standout left tackle at Florida State, he spent the offseason at left guard to give him added versatility.
T/G Derek Sherrod (6-6, 321; third season): The team's first-round pick in 2011, Sherrod broke his leg on Dec. 18, 2011. He missed all of 2012 and needed another round of surgery after the season. Thus, he missed all of the offseason work. At this point, who knows when — or if — he'll ever contend for a starting job.
T David Bakhtiari (6-4, 300; rookie/R-4): A standout left tackle at Colorado who was groomed by Chad Clifton's former position coach, Bakhtiari spent the offseason as the No. 2 left tackle and No. 3 right tackle.
T Kevin Hughes (6-4, 304; second season): Hughes, who played in three games for St. Louis in 2011 and spent time on the Chargers' practice squad last season, was signed in February. He was the No. 3 left tackle during the offseason.
G/T J.C. Tretter (6-4, 307; rookie/R-4): The former Cornell standout broke his ankle on the first day of organized team activities and might miss the season.
G Lane Taylor (6-3, 324; rookie/UDFA): Taylor surprisingly wasn't drafted and the Packers lured him with a $7,000 signing bonus. The all-Big 12 performer didn't allow a sack as a senior. He worked with the second unit at both guard spots.
G/C Greg Van Roten (6-3, 303; second season): It's not where you start — or when, for that matter. Van Roten wasn't signed until the eve of training camp, then continually won his one-on-one reps at camp and wound up playing in seven games.
C Garth Gerhart (6-1, 310; first season): Garhart, the brother of Minnesota's Toby Garhart, was signed to the practice squad in January. He started 35 games at center for Arizona State.
C Patrick Lewis (6-1, 311; rookie/UDFA): Lewis started his first two seasons at Texas A&M at guard before running the Aggies' no-huddle the past two seasons as their center.
Total: 15. On 2012 opening roster: 7 (Barclay, Bulaga, Dietrich-Smith, Lang Newhouse, Jeff Saturday, Sitton).
Final prediction: 8 (Bakhtiari, Barclay, Bulaga, Dietrich-Smith, Lang, Sherrod, Sitton, Taylor). Tretter on PUP.
