STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES: Of last 21 meetings, 16 have been decided by TD or less. Packers have won six of last seven vs. Vikings and swept series in four of last seven seasons, all under coach Mike McCarthy. ... Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has 116.4 career passer rating vs. Vikings, best in league history since 1970 against an opponent, minimum of 250 attempts. In last seven starts vs. Vikings, Rodgers has 2,106 yards, 19 TDs and three INTs passing with 72.1 completion percentage. ... Packers are missing WR Randall Cobb, TE Jermichael Finley and possibly WR James Jones again to injuries, but WR Jarrett Boykin coming off career-high eight-catch, 103-yard, one-TD game last week. ... Packers RB Eddie Lacy leads NFL rookies with 352 yards rushing. ... First game for Vikings WR Greg Jennings vs. former team. ... QB Christian Ponder likely to start for Vikings, with Josh Freeman recovering from concussion. Ponder's first career start came vs. Packers at home in 2011, when he threw for two TDs and nearly helped Vikings get upset. His best career game was vs. Packers at home in 2012 victory that led Vikings to playoff spot. He threw for three TDs and no INTs. ... Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has only 90 yards on 23 carries in last two games. In two games vs. Packers in 2012, he ran 55 times for 409 yards. ... Vikings kicker Blair Walsh's NFL-record streak of 12 straight FGs made from 50-plus yards ended Monday vs. Giants when 53-yarder fell short, his first career miss in 50-plus range. Walsh has been bothered by sore left hamstring.

PACKER REPORT PREDICTION (6-0): Minnesota is a proud team. Leslie Frazier is a good coach. The Vikings won't forget about Adrian Peterson, who has just 23 carries the last two weeks. (What, is Brad Childress calling the plays?) A beleaguered defense figures to get a spirited effort from wise old pros like Jared Allen. The Packers, of course, are out of "next men up" on the perimeter, with only Jordy Nelson ready, willing and able after an onslaught of injuries ranging from relatively minor (James Jones) to major (Randall Cobb) to devastating (Jermichael Finley). All of that said, the Vikings' secondary is horrendous and the Packers' defense looks legit — never mind the competition the last three weeks. Packers 27, Vikings 13.
