Packer Report's Special Teams Rankings

If you've gotten the feeling the Packers' special teams have struggled, this chart will serve as confirmation. Of course, as we point out in our World's Best Preview, there are some extenuating circumstances.

Here is Packer Report's inaugural NFL special teams rankings. We looked at five key categories — starting field position following kickoffs (both teams), net punting average for own team, punt-return average for own team and field-goal percentage for own team.

This, admittedly, is a watered-down version of the 22-category rankings compiled at the end of the season by the Dallas Morning News' Rick Gosselin. Nonetheless, special teams is about field position and these rankings take that into account.

The top-ranked unit in the league in each category gets one point, the last-ranked unit gets 32 points.
