PACKER REPORT PREDICTION (9-1-1): So, it's come down to this for the Packers. It seems like a lifetime ago when both teams were 5-2 and there might have been a first-round bye at stake for this game. Not anymore. The Lions, even with two turnover-filled losses, control their destiny in the NFC North. The Packers, with a barrage of injuries that Aaron Rodgers hasn't been on the field to cover up, have been free-falling through the NFC standings. There seems to be too much for the Packers to overcome today, starting with Rodgers missing a fourth consecutive game with a broken collarbone. Defensive coordinator Dom Capers spoke this week of plugging one hole, only for another to appear on his defense. You don't want to be plugging holes against Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush. A short week is tough enough; a short week after playing five quarters is double trouble. It will be interesting to see how much gas Eddie Lacy has in his tank. The Packers' only chance is a lopsided turnover count. Too bad they've only forced a bunch of turnovers in one game this season. Lions 34, Packers 13.
