“I think probable is pretty confident,” coach Mike McCarthy said after listing Lacy as probable on Friday. “He’s getting better. I know he did the strength and conditioning work and all the other work in that area today. He’s making progress and hopefully he can practice tomorrow.”
If Lacy is limited due to the hip injury sustained last week, James Starks will get an increased workload. Last week, Lacy rushed 13 times for 73 yards while Starks carried 10 times for 75 yards. It was Starks’ busiest game since getting 12 carries in a Week 6 blowout over Minnesota.
“We’ll see how the game goes,” McCarthy said about how the carries will be divided. “But I feel very comfortable going with Eddie and James. It’s something that we spent the whole offseason getting ready for and both guys have done a great job of being three down players, so we can continue to just keep playing with Eddie and James and DuJuan Harris is doing a good job.”
Meanwhile, cornerback Davon House is out with a shoulder injury. He was scheduled for more testing on Saturday.
“I wouldn’t say ‘fear,’” McCarthy said when asked if it’s possibly a season-ending injury. “That’s why you’re going to see the people that he needs to see. He’s got to get more information. It’s not your everyday injury. He feels better; he’s got his range of motion and he’s really responded very well the last couple days.”
For Buffalo, safety Da'Norris Searcy, who has three interceptions, is out with an injured hamstring. Former Packers defensive lineman Jarius Wynn is questionable.
