Green Bay and Detroit have played 12 games against common opponents this season. How have they done? Here are the results.

Not only do the Green Bay Packers’ and Detroit Lions’ matching records suggest Sunday’s NFC North championship game will be a close battle, but so do their records against common opponents.

Thanks to the NFL’s scheduling formula, division teams plays largely the same schedule. So, the Packers and Lions played 12 games against the same teams. The Packers went 10-2 in those games while the Lions went 9-3. Green Bay’s losses came to New Orleans and Buffalo while Detroit lost to Carolina, New England and Buffalo.
