NFC Championship: Wednesday Injury Reports

The Packers listed only three players on the report on Wednesday; two Seattle starters did not practice but two starters returned.

The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks, even after 17 games, will field relatively healthy rosters for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

For Green Bay, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was limited with his calf. All 53 players participated and only three are on the injury report.

“Health is very important,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. “You need all hands on deck. I mean, it’s all part of your preparation. The ability to play with the same 53, the same 46, for a couple weeks is a huge benefit. Your practice squad guys are obviously very important this time of year. We’re taking all our practice squad guys to Seattle and this is obviously the time of year that you prepare for. You put everything into it and I’m very, very pleased with where we are as a football team.”

For Seattle, two starters, defensive tackle Tony McDaniel (shoulder) and right tackle Justin Britt (knee) were out. Britt hasn’t missed a snap all season. Center Max Unger, who has played in only seven games this season and missed the end of last week’s game against Carolina with an ankle injury, and cornerback Byron Maxwell, who barely played last week due to shortness of breath, are not on the injury report.
