Four Signed to Practice Squad

The Green Bay Packers have signed linebacker Donté Curry, fullback Chris Gall, G/T Ed Kehl and cornerback Hurley Tarver to their practice squad. All four were released in the team's final cutdown Sunday, but returned to practice with the team on Monday.

Curry, Gall and Kehl had been on the roster throughout training camp and the preseason while Tarver was re-signed August 23.

Curry, a rookie from Morris Brown, was fourth on the team in tackles during the preseason with 13. He also recovered a fumble and posted 2 special teams tackles.

Tarver, who played in the last two preseason games (against Miami August 25 and Oakland August 31), made 6 tackles, 4 of them solos. He originally had been signed to a Green Bay contract April 20, after playing for the Las Vegas Outlaws of the XFL but subsequently was waived June 11.

The Packers were expected to fill the fifth and final spot on the developmental squad today. Practice squad players are not eligible to play and can only sign with another team if they are placed on that team's 53-man roster.
