Packers Safety Morgan Burnett Misses Second Consecutive Practice

The Packers were without veteran safety Morgan Burnett for a second consecutive day on Thursday. Here is the full injury report and a video breakdown.

Green Bay Packers safety Morgan Burnett missed practice for the second consecutive day, leaving his status for Sunday's season-opening game at Chicago in jeopardy.

If Burnett can't play, Micah Hyde would presumably start and Sean Richardson might see additional action, as well.

"I think our safety group is very experienced," coach Mike McCarthy said before Thursday's practice. "We have five players that have the ability to play safety. I think we’re definitely more experienced there. It’s a group that everybody has something a little different to offer. I always think that’s a positive attribute to your defense. Feel very good about the safety depth and the whole group."

Here’s the injury report for both teams, which are unchanged from Wednesday.
