Adams, Burnett, Raji Among Packers Inactives

Both teams will be without four key players apiece, including Davante Adams, Morgan Burnett, B.J. Raji and three-fifths of the Chargers' line.

To borrow a favorite phrase of coach Mike McCarthy, the Green Bay Packers took the "high side of caution" with their inactive list for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers.

Receiver Davante Adams (ankle), safety Morgan Burnett (calf), linebacker Nick Perry (shoulder) and defensive tackle B.J. Raji (groin) are inactive. That gives those four players an extra week to recover with the upcoming bye, then a critical stretch with games at Denver and Carolina before a four-game streak vs. NFC North foes.

Adams and Burnett were questionable while Perry and Raji were doubtful. Adams said he intended to practice on Saturday but has spoken with a tone of self-doubt all week. He's never had an ankle problem and felt like he came back too soon when he aggravated the injury on the opening series of the Week 3 game vs. Kansas City. He will miss a third consecutive game.

Burnett will be out for the fifth time in six games this season, including the last four.

Green Bay's other inactives are quarterback Brett Hundley, running back Alonzo Harris and guard Lane Taylor.

The Chargers will be without three-fifths of their startine line - center Chris Watt, left guard Orlando Franklin, left tackle King Dunlap - plus inside linebacker Manti Te'o and No. 3 receiver Stevie Johnson.
