Roster moves

Wide receiver Mike Horacek has re-signed with the Packers as a free agent, the team announced.<P>

Horacek (6-1, 203-pounds) has had a few "cups of coffee" in Green Bay. He was a member of the Packers practice squad for three weeks during the 2000 season, then rejoined the team for 2001 training camp until he was waived in the final roster reduction Sept. 2. In October 2001 Horacek was re-signed to the Packers practice squad and stayed there until his contract expired in January 2002.

The 30-year-old Horacek will wear No. 13. He joined the Packers practice Wednesday afternoon.

A little background on the latest roster addition:

Horacek, an Iowa State alum, is an Arena Football League veteran and is coming off an outstanding season with the AFL's Las Vegas club. He set franchise records with 127 receptions for 585 yards and 36 touchdowns, breaking his own marks set a year earlier when the team was known as New Jersey Predators. Horacek also holds the AFL's single-season record with 46 touchdowns during the 2000 season while with the Iowa Barnstormers.
