All Seven Receivers Active for Packers

Special-teams standouts Chris Banjo and Jayrone Elliott are inactive again.

The Green Bay Packers will be without two of their top special-teams performers for tonight’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Safety Chris Banjo (hamstring) and outside linebacker Jayrone Elliott (hamstring) joined standout veteran cornerback Sam Shields (concussion) on the Packers’ inactives list. With only 52 players on the roster, the Packers needed to declare only six inactives. The others are rookies: quarterback Joe Callahan, cornerback Josh Hawkins (hamstring) and offensive tackle Kyle Murphy.

Without Shields and Hawkins, the Packers have only three cornerbacks on tonight’s roster, with Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins and LaDarius Gunter.
While they might be thin at corner, they are deep at receiver. Rookie Trevor Davis is active after missing the opener due to an injured shoulder. That means all seven receivers are active for tonight.

For the Vikings, they’ll be without two starters: cornerback Xavier Rhodes and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd. The others are receiver Jarius Wright, linebackers Kentrell Brothers and Edmond Robinson, center Nick Easton and tight end MyCole Pruitt.
