Roster moves

The Green Bay Packers re-signed tight end Tony Donald to the team's five-man practice squad on Thursday.<p>

Donald spent the entire off-season with the Packers before he was waived Aug. 30 in the team's final cutdown. He originally signed with the Packers in January as a linebacker. He was moved to tight end early on in training camp.

Donald originally signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent, June 13, 2002. He later was waived August 26 and spent the remainder of the year out of football.

Donald, 24, was a four-year starter and a three-time All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference for Western (Colo.) State. Playing mainly safety, he finished his career with 258 tackles and 15 interceptions.

Donald fills the spot on the practice squad vacated by defensive tackle Terdell Sands, who was released on Wednesday.
