Roster moves - Packers sign RB

The Packers signed free agent RB Dahrran Diedrick to the practice squad, the team announced Wednesday.<p>

Diedrick was originally signed by San Diego as an undrafted free agent. The University of Nebraska product spent training camp and preseason with the Chargers until the final roster cut.

The 6-foot, 221-pound Diedrick, the eighth-ranking rusher in University of Nebraska history, originally signed with San Diego as an undrafted free agent May 2, 2003, and spent training camp and the preseason with the Chargers before being placed on waivers in the team's final roster reduction for the regular season September 1.

A native of Jamaica, Diedrick grew up in Canada. He was the leading rusher for Nebraska's 2001 natoinal championship team and ranks eighth on the Huskers' all-time rushing list.

In a related move, tight end Tony Donald was waived to make room for Diedrick on the practice squad.
