Game Day: Packers vs. Chiefs

The Packers know they'll face a challenge when they meet unbeaten Kansas City today at noon. Based on an impressive track record, Green Bay has every reason to feel confident when the NFL's elite visits Lambeau Field. During the "Brett Favre Era" the Packers have hosted a team with the league's best record nine times. Eight times, Green Bay has emerged victorious.<p>

The Packers also have a way of bringing soaring teams back to earth. Since 1992, teams riding streaks of three or more wins into Lambeau Field have gone 1-12 against the Pack.

Today, the Packers will try to send Kansas City to the same fate. Green Bay will have to stop Dante Hall and give Vonnie Holliday an unhappy homecoming in order to get the job done.

"This team is extremely hot, and whenever you're 5-0 and playing the teams they've played, they deserve a lot of respect and we definitely respect them," Packers safety Darren Sharper said.

"But I think they have the same amount of respect coming here to Lambeau and know what challenge they're going to face conce they arrive in Green Bay."

Sharper took his high regard for his own team and today's opponent to a higher level:

"We might be thinking this could be a Super Bowl preview right here," he said. "I know you guys probably aren't thinking that, but it just might be, beause this team is playing well and we think we have the team here to come out of the NFC. So, you never know."
